BHS Special Meeting with author of ‘DARK SECRETS’ Robert Hadler

Wednesday 10th March 2021

The Bellerive Historical Society Inc. held a special meeting with the author of ‘DARK SECRETS’ Robert Hadler.

In his latest book DARK SECRETS, Robert deals with the shocking murder of 19 year old sailor John Joseph Riley from 3 Douglas Street Bellerive in HMAS Australia, flagship of the Royal Australian Navy in the Coral Sea in March 1942.

Bellerive features prominently in this true historical story and its effect on the Riley family as well as the legal ramifications resulting in the signing of the Statute of Westminster by King George V1.

The meeting was held at ALMA’S 17 Alma Street Bellerive. For photographs of the event see the Bellerive Historical Society Facebook site: click here.
